Description

The 3-Slot OWB J-Frame Leather Holster provides a versatile outside-the-waistband carry option for compatible J-frame revolvers. Three integrated belt slots allow the wearer to adjust the holster’s position and cant based on personal preference.

Route the belt through the appropriate slots for a traditional standard-side setup or configure the holster for cross-draw carry. This adjustable design makes the holster more adaptable than a fixed-position belt holster.

Choose from Black, Brown, or White Stitched Brown for $49.95.

Adjustable 3-Slot Design

This holster is made exclusively in a three-slot configuration.

The three integrated belt slots provide more positioning flexibility than a fixed-angle holster. By changing how the belt passes through the slots, the wearer can adjust the angle and placement of the revolver.

The adjustable cant makes the holster suitable for two common carry preferences:

  • Standard side carry
  • Cross-draw carry

The exact position will depend on the wearer’s belt, body shape, clothing, and preferred draw angle.

This product does not have a 2-slot option.

Use It as a Cross-Draw Holster

Cross-draw carry positions the revolver so it can be reached by drawing across the front of the body.

Some customers prefer this position while seated, driving, working outdoors, or wearing clothing that makes a traditional side draw less convenient.

The adjustable 3-slot layout allows the holster to be angled for a more natural cross-draw position. However, the user should test the setup carefully with an unloaded revolver before regular use.

The holster should remain stable on the belt and should not interfere with movement, clothing, or safe firearm handling.

Use It as a Standard Side Holster

The same holster can also be configured for conventional side carry.

Routing the belt through the appropriate slots positions the holster along the wearer’s side. This creates a familiar OWB setup for customers who prefer a traditional belt-mounted draw.

The three-slot design allows the user to experiment with the cant rather than being limited to one fixed angle. This makes the holster especially useful for customers whose preferred position changes depending on their clothing or activity.

Designed for J-Frame Revolvers

This leather holster is designed for compatible J-frame revolvers.

J-frame dimensions can differ by manufacturer, model, barrel length, grip, sights, and other features. Therefore, the listing should not promise universal compatibility with every revolver described as a J-frame.

Customers should confirm fit before ordering when their firearm has:

  • An uncommon barrel length
  • Oversized or aftermarket grips
  • A laser grip
  • Raised or modified sights
  • An optic
  • A nonstandard frame profile
  • Other aftermarket modifications

Do not force a firearm into a holster that is clearly too small or obstructed by accessories.

Outside-the-Waistband Carry

This is an OWB, or outside-the-waistband, holster.

The wearer routes a belt through the leather slots so the holster rests outside the pants. A supportive belt can help keep the holster stable and reduce unwanted movement during normal wear.

Lambright’s current holster collection includes IWB, OWB, revolver, 1911, Glock XD, and shoulder holster designs.

Customers can compare additional carry options in the leather holster collection.

Three Available Colors

Choose from three leather color options.

Black

The Black version offers a clean, traditional appearance that coordinates easily with black belts and darker clothing.

Brown

The Brown version provides a classic leather look that pairs naturally with brown belts, boots, jeans, and casual clothing.

White Stitched Brown

The White Stitched Brown version combines brown leather with visible contrasting thread. The lighter stitching outlines the holster’s construction and gives it a more distinctive appearance.

Natural leather grain, shade, and surface markings may vary from one finished holster to another.

Practical Adjustable Carry

The main advantage of this holster is its adaptable belt-slot layout.

A fixed-position holster determines the angle for the wearer. This three-slot design gives the user more control over how the holster rides on the belt.

That flexibility can be useful when switching between:

  • Standing and seated use
  • Cross-draw and standard side carry
  • Different belt positions
  • Seasonal clothing
  • Work and casual clothing
  • Different vehicles or seating positions

The holster should be adjusted only while the firearm is unloaded.

Setting Up the Holster

Before using the holster:

  1. Completely unload the revolver.
  2. Confirm that the cylinder and chambers are empty.
  3. Route the belt through the desired slots.
  4. Position the holster for cross-draw or standard side carry.
  5. Check that the holster remains stable.
  6. Confirm that clothing does not enter the holster opening.
  7. Make sure the draw path is clear.
  8. Practice only with an unloaded firearm until familiar with the setup.

Recheck the belt routing whenever the carry position is changed.

Leather Break-In and Fit

A new leather holster may feel firm at first.

Normal use with a compatible revolver can help the leather settle around the firearm. The holster should provide a secure fit without requiring excessive force.

Do not soak the holster in water, apply direct heat, or use aggressive stretching methods. These techniques may damage the leather or change the holster’s shape.

Avoid applying excessive conditioner. Too much conditioner may soften a holster more than intended.

Leather Care

Remove and unload the firearm before cleaning the holster.

Wipe ordinary dust away with a soft, dry cloth. If the leather becomes damp, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature.

Keep the holster away from:

  • Hair dryers
  • Heaters
  • Open flames
  • Excessive moisture
  • Prolonged direct sunlight
  • Heavy oil applications

Use leather conditioner sparingly and test it first on a hidden area. Conditioner may darken Brown or White Stitched Brown leather.

Inspect the stitching, belt slots, edges, and holster opening regularly. Stop using the holster if damage affects retention or safe firearm handling.
